Dr Ryan Foley (PT, DPT, MISCP) is an Irish physiotherapist and co-founder of Integrated Kinetic Neurology (IKN), a neurology-based approach to rapid pain relief and faster return to function. He practises at Evolve Physiotherapy & Wellness in Waterford, Ireland, and teaches IKN courses internationally.
Ryan earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Psychology and Gerontology from Nazareth College (now Nazareth University) in Rochester, New York. After six years in New York, he moved to Miami to work at a sports performance centre, treating professional athletes from teams such as the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos, as well as the USA Olympic Sailing team, and later worked at Performance Health NYC in Manhattan before returning to Ireland.
Finding that a one-directional approach to pain relief did not give patients satisfactory results, he developed IKN with his co-founder, Dr Kyle Paxton. He has taught IKN to more than 6,500 practitioners.
